Youth unemployment. It is hard to find the right internship or job. How to match the right education, internships and jobs? Enter open data.
The open data Challenge School and Future focuses on the connection of the final stage of education (MBO, HBO and WO) with the first job. In this project we work together with the Dutch Ministry of Education.
With this open data challenge, we try to find new ways to support MBO, HBO and university students in finding a suitable internship, work placement, vocational training place or their first job. At the same time, we want to support entrepreneurs to find suitable trainees and employees.
In practice it is difficult for students to find an internship, work placement, vocational training place or first job. Conversely companies sometimes find it difficult the right employees or trainees. This is a problem because it entails a risk for students: that they can not finalize their training.
Reason enough to stimulate this with open data and stimulate the development of applications to provide a solution for a good match. Data sources include internships, first jobs, quantities flowing students and labor forcasts. These data sources will be made available as open data.
