This week it’s Open Data Day, the moment when people worldwide pause to reflect on the importance of open data. Data that has been collected or created with public money belongs to all of us. That is good for our democracy and our economy.
To celebrate this, we will publish an essay every day during this week, from 9 to 13 March, about open data! Five essays by different organizations and people, each with their own vision on open data. Today we start with an essay written by our own team member Marlinde Weener called baten van transparantie (in English) about the benefits of transparency.
