On Friday the 21st of September Aurai (previously Young Mavericks) organized a Junior Hackathon on the Marine Terrain in Amsterdam. During this hackathon interested people got the chance to work with Aurai data scientists on a case. An ideal way to learn more about the work of a data scientist and the data science program of Aurai.
Open State supplied the award-winning PoliFLW data for the Junior Hackathon. PoliFLW holds all news articles from Facebook-pages and websites of Dutch local political parties. The whole day teams worked with this data and the winning team analyzed the sentiment of political news to answer the question which political party was the most positive.
