In the Netherlands women return to work about 3 months after giving birth. In order to facilitate and stimulate breastfeeding there are laws that direct employers to make a place available (kolfruimte) where the new mom can express milk (pump). I advocate more transparency in where these places are, in order to facilitate combining being a breastfeeding mom and working more easily. Also, these data should ideally be complemented with data on places where breastfeeding is comfortable, where one can warm baby bottles and where are diaper changing tables available.
