For the third year in a row Open State Foundation mapped out the polling stations of 358 Dutch municipalities ahead of the 2019 Dutch provincial and water board elections. Voters can now look up their nearest polling station and check whether the location is accessible for individuals with a disability.
The ‘Waar is mijn Stemlokaal’ project is a collaboration with the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations and VNG Realisatie. Municipalities had to upload their data on the platfrom through a standard format that was developed in collaboration with VNG-KING. The open data can now be repurposed for new applications. Last year several organisations, such as RTL Nieuws, DataDuic and LocalFocus, used the data. This year’s data is now available on http://waarismijnstemlokaal.nl/data and http://data.overheid.nl.
