Is it possible to attain accountability information from open council data that can be (re)used for accountability?<\/p>\n<p>Translation of original post in Dutch follows.<\/p>\n<p>Om hergebruik van Open raadsinformatie te stimuleren wordt deze uitdaging voorgelegd aan deelnemers van de Hackathon Open Verantwoording op 16 en 17 februari a.s. bij de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vngrealisatie.nl\/data-science-hub\/nieuws\/save-date-hackathon-open-verantwoording-doe-mee-en-win-%E2%82%AC2000\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jheronimus Academy of Data Science<\/a> in Den Bosch. Deze hackathon wordt georganiseerd door VNG Realisatie (voorheen KING).<\/p>\n<h3>Open Raadsinformatie<\/h3>\n<p>Steeds meer gemeenten ontsluiten hun raadsinformatie &#8211; zoals beleidstukken, notities, notulen, moties, amendementen en besluiten \u2013 als open data. Informatie die raadsleden helpt hun werk te doen, journalisten in staat stelt de lokale democratie te controleren en ervoor zorgt dat inwoners kunnen meedenken met gemeentebeleid. In samenwerking met het VNG Realisatie en het ministerie van Binnenlandse Zaken werkt Open State Foundation aan de verdere ontsluiting van raadsinformatie van Nederlandse gemeenten.<\/p>\n<h3>Hackathon Open Verantwoording: maak een werkend prototype<\/h3>\n<p>De focus tijdens de hackathon ligt op twee beleidsterreinen: de Archiefwet en de Wet op de Kinderopvang. De opdracht voor deelnemers is om informatie over het toezicht op die twee wetten uit de raadsinformatie te halen en te interpreteren. Tijdens de hackathon experts aanwezig uit de praktijk zodat prototypes toegespitst zijn op de vraag.<\/p>\n<p>De hackathon begint op vrijdagochtend 16 februari om 10 uur, bij de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jads.nl\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jheronimus Academy of Data Science<\/a> in Den Bosch. Het team dat in 24 uur het beste werkende prototype bouwt wint de hoofdprijs van \u20ac2.000. De tweede en derde prijs zijn \u20ac1.000 en \u20ac500 euro. De prototypen worden beoordeeld door een vakkundige jury van specialisten.
