Dorsey said that Twitter needed to get better about being transparent. \u2018We want to come to you today, and first and foremost apologize for the confusion\u2019, Twitter&#8217;s CEO said.<!--more--><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-video\" lang=\"en\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">.<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/jack\">@jack<\/a> taking the stage to kick off <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/twitterflight?src=hash\">#twitterflight<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/5mwhnAvo4b\">https:\/\/t.co\/5mwhnAvo4b<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Twitter Flight (@Flight) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Flight\/status\/656882929923059713\">October 21, 2015<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>In August 2015, Twitter blocked <a href=\"http:\/\/politwoops.eu\/countries\" target=\"_blank\">Politwoops<\/a>, run by Open State Foundation, in more than 30 countries that enabled the public to see what legislators and other elected officials, once had tweeted but then decided to delete.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018This statement seems to indicate a possible change in Twitter\u2019s position on Politwoops\u2019, said Arjan El Fassed, director of Open State Foundation the organization that launched Politwoops in more than 30 countries since 2010. \u2018We look forward to reach out to Twitter and restore access to Twitter\u2019s API again soon so that we can continue to enable the public to hold elected public officials accountable for their public statements.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>In August 2015, Twitter blocked Politwoops in more than 30 countries that enabled the public to see what legislators and other elected officials, once had tweeted but then decided to delete.
