International best practices show that the disclosure of financial information by governments as “open data” provides a more transparent and efficient government. The core aim of the Open Spending network is to make financial data accessible and create transparency of these data for the public.

Spending Money by 401K

Open Spending is an initiative of Hack de Overheid and the Open Knowledge Foundation. Both parties will be working together to manage the portal and involve as many governments as possible in this project.
