Open Data Networks

Colleen Simon for opensource.com

Thus far, the network of open data fans surrounding Hack de Overheid consists of more than 1300 people. This network is made out of programmers, designers, innovators, students and professionals. As a consequence, our open data network has led to the creation of specialized open data networks.

These open data networks aim to open up data concerned with a certain topic in which that network is specialized. In order to do so, numerous meetings are held throughout the year for which our hackathons also provide a platform. During these meetings, knowledge is exchanged about the opening up of data. Moreover, they also offer an excellent opportunity for conceptualizing potential applications and presenting these.
